GeekWord – Latency

Latency [noun] – leyt-n-see

The time required for a single packet of information to travel from one point in a network to another. Whereas bandwidth can be thought of as the diameter of a pipe, latency can be thought of as the length of the pipe.

The high latency on my Internet connection get’s me fragged on a regular basis.
