GeekWord – Crit

Crit [krit] noun

Critical Hit – A dice roll made to determine the success of an attack in a role-playing game where the resulting roll is high enough to trigger additional effects, usually extra damage. Normally a critical hit is triggered on an unmodified roll of 20 on a 20 sided die.

Grug scored a crit and took down the beast with a single smashing blow (which just so happened to be 6d6 +10).
