GeekWord – pwn

pwn [pone] verb

Purposeful misspelling of the word own.  Used to describe total dominance in any game or activity.  Sometimes used by malicious hackers to denote gaining full access to a compromised system.

Possibly originated from accidental misspellings as p and o are adjacent to each other on a standard QWERTY keyboard.

My son thinks he can pwn me in any video game.  More often than not, his trash talk ends a few minutes in.
